Browser is heart of desktop or web application, it in a way helps organize stuff for us.When ever i hear the word "Tabbed", first thing which comes to my mind is "Mozilla".

Tabbed view in a way helps in organizing windows and it gives better look and feel to window manager. Tabbing nothing but a thread opened in same window.Tabs now are treated as new evolution of web browser. Soon after Mozilla many browsers have modified themselves with new avtar bringing in tabbed view.

With the same belief i made a project this summer vacation in which i tried to introduce tabbed view in Microsoft Windows file explorer. Some of the Features of this File Explorer are

• Tabbed View:- I enabled more than one instance of window to be opened within single instance of window.
  
• File Searching:-It has an option for searching with starting name or ending name of files, you can even search file with date of creation, to make search more specific you can even search files on content .
• Preview Contents:-Till now we had seen only image previews or may be vedios but how about having an option to view the contents of the file before even opening it, i have also embedded that into this small application of mine.
  
• Tree Structure:- It has the usual tree type exploring option which windows offer.

This was a small project which have implemented on Java platform using Swings. I would love to see in future these features to be embedded in Microsoft Windows. You can see some of the screen shots of my work by clicking on images above......
