Tribler :- Bandwidth as Digital Currency

A new Peer-to-Peer system called Tribler is into reckoning to overpower the existing unequal way of sharing. This system treats bandwidth as the digital currency which means the amount you are willing to spend, only that much amount of goods you can buy, rather you can say the amount of bandwidth you are willing to spend on uploading stuff or sharing, the same amount opportunity you will get to download in a Peer-to-Peer system. This is in a way an acknowledgment to selfless sharers and penalizing leechers who just like to download.

Currently this technology is being assessed by a European broadcasting body looking at ways of piping TV across the net. Which means your TV would be connected with internet and you can watch movies, listen to music and enjoy HDTV quality, but after you are done with watching your TV will start transmitting automatically for same amount of minutes as you watched.

Tribler is an open source Peer-to-Peer client, it's using the Python programming language it is possible to run on any Python supported platform. Some of the features of Tribler are

=>Tribler allows to group people with similar taste and tag them as friends.
=> You can import existing groups from programs like MSN and Gmail.
