Earn With PDF Ads......................

Following the trend setup by Google in Web documents , Yahoo and Adobe are bringing pay-per-click ads to Adobe's Portable Document Format. This will enable PDF publishers to serve ads inside PDFs distributed on Web sites and over e-mail that are contextually relevant to the content. This according to me is the best way to acknowledge the free way publishers who selflessly contribute their White papers and documents of importance to Web.

From the Demo available on the adobe website it seems the Ads will we appearing on the right and left side of the document. The Ads will be displayed dynamically on the basics of content of the PDF, it appears to me they would be using the usual paper raking algorithm that is to count the number of times a particular word appears on the page and for similar phases within the same domain.

I tried to use the serivce and found that it is very easy to use. I clicked the Register PDF button, and uploaded a PDF. The file status initially was set to Pending, indicating PDF was being processed for relevant Ads. But within a couple of minutes, the file status change to Registered and I received an e-mail with the PDF modified to accept ads.

As was the case with Google Adsense, I think this move would definitely encourage more people sharing their knowledge, and hence ultimately serve in bringing valuable knowledge to recognition............
